Ingredients

  • 1 cup Jasmine rice
  • 1 cup Coconut milk
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
  2. In a saucepan, combine the rinsed rice, coconut milk, water, sugar, and salt. Stir well.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat. Once it starts boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the saucepan, and let it simmer for about 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
  4. Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes.
  5. Fluff the rice with a fork and serve warm.
