Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Beef chuck, cut into cubes
  • 3 cups Beef broth
  • 1 cup Red wine
  • 2 Carrots, sliced
  • 2 Potatoes, diced
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves Garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoon Tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Rosemary
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat. Add beef and brown on all sides.
  2. 2. Add onions and garlic, cook until softened.
  3. 3. Stir in tomato paste, cook for a minute.
  4. 4. Pour in red wine, scrape up any browned bits from the bottom.
  5. 5. Add beef broth, carrots, potatoes, thyme, rosemary, salt, and pepper.
  6. 6. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.
  7. 7. Serve hot and enjoy!
