Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 whole rabbit cut into pieces
  • 2 cups red wine
  • 1 cup vinegar
  • 2 cups water
  • 2 large onions sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon cloves ground
  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 2 tablespoon butter

Instructions 

  1. 1. Marinate the rabbit pieces in red wine, vinegar, water, onions, garlic, sugar, salt, pepper, and cloves for 24 hours.
  2. 2. Remove rabbit from marinade and pat dry. Reserve the marinade.
  3. 3. In a large pot, melt butter and brown the rabbit pieces on all sides.
  4. 4. Sprinkle flour over the rabbit and stir well.
  5. 5. Pour the reserved marinade over the rabbit, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2 hours.
  6. 6. Serve hot with your choice of side dish.
