  • 1 cup Unsalted butter softened
  • 1 cup Brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon Ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground cloves
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. In a medium bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, and salt. Mix until well combined.
  2. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator until ready to use.
  4. To make a hot buttered rum drink, add 2 tablespoons of the batter to a mug, pour in 1 ½ ounces of rum, and top with boiling water. Stir well and enjoy.
