  • 3 pieces Green plantains peeled and cut into 1-inch slices
  • 1 cup Vegetable oil for frying
  • to taste Salt

Instructions 

  1. Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  2. Fry plantain slices until golden, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  3. Remove plantains and flatten each slice with a plate or a tostonera.
  4. Refry flattened plantains until crispy, about 2 minutes per side.
  5. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with salt. Serve immediately.
