Scalloped Potatoes Recipe
A classic and comforting side dish made with layers of thinly sliced potatoes, creamy sauce, and cheese.

Main Ingredients
- 4 cups Thinly sliced potatoes
- 1 cup Grated cheese Cheddar or your choice
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
- 1.5 cups Milk
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes.
Gradually add the milk, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens. Season with salt and pepper.
Layer half of the sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish. Pour half of the sauce over the potatoes and sprinkle with half of the cheese.
Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, sauce, and cheese.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden brown.
Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
