Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Fresh Tomatoes chopped
  • 1 medium Onion diced
  • 3 cloves Garlic minced
  • 2 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar optional

Instructions 

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add chopped tomatoes, salt, black pepper, dried basil, and dried oregano. Stir well.
  5. Bring to a simmer and cook for 30-45 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. If desired, add sugar to balance the acidity of the tomatoes.
  7. Serve over cooked spaghetti or your favorite pasta.
