Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 1 head Cabbage large
  • 1 lb Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice
  • 1 Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 can Tomato Sauce (15 oz)
  • 1 can Diced Tomatoes (15 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ½ teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. 2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil. Carefully remove the core from the cabbage and place the whole head in the boiling water. Boil for a few minutes until the outer leaves can be easily peeled off. Remove the leaves and repeat until all large leaves are removed. Set aside.
  3. 3. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground beef, cooked rice, chopped onion, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika. Mix well.
  4. 4. Place a generous amount of the meat mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf. Fold the sides over the filling and roll up tightly.
  5. 5. In a large baking dish, spread a thin layer of tomato sauce on the bottom. Place the cabbage rolls seam-side down in the dish. Pour the remaining tomato sauce and diced tomatoes over the rolls.
  6. 6. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 1.5 hours.
  7. 7. Let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy!
