  • 1 cup Granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions 

  1. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  3. Add sugar, vanilla extract, and salt. Stir constantly until the mixture reaches 300°F (150°C) on a candy thermometer.
  4. Pour the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and spread evenly.
  5. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top if using. Let it cool completely before breaking into pieces.
