Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • ½ cup vodka
  • 1 can crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • to garnish Fresh basil

Instructions 

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.
  2. Add the onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes.
  3. Add the garlic and red pepper flakes, cook for another minute.
  4. Pour in the vodka and let it simmer until reduced by half, about 5 minutes.
  5. Add the crushed tomatoes and simmer for 15 minutes.
  6. Stir in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese, cook until the sauce is heated through.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
